Is Consciousness a Property of Everything in the Universe?

Panpsychism..

(Consciousness belongs to everything)

Where does consciousness come from? The traditional view.. believed by billions of people in the world who belong to religions that assume life after death.. is that humans consists of two different kinds of things..a body and a soul. 

A view held by many  neuroscientists and psychologists and an increasing number of philosophers.. is that the human mind is the brain. On this view the mind is a purely physical system and expires when the body does.

But recently..there has been a revival of a lesser known position called panpsychism. 

Panpsychism is the claim that consciousness is not just a property of the brain and not a property of some special spiritual kind of substance like the soul... but rather a property of everything in the universe. 

Even a rock or a pebble or an atom has a little bit of consciousness in it. 

Panpsychism has been endorsed by two distinguished neuroscientists..(Christof Koch and Guilio Tononi).

Why would anyone hold this view?

Some people favor panpsychism over dualism. Just can't see how it is that properties like experience and awareness could result from the mere motions of molecules. So there must be a little bit of consciousness in everything that can then sum up to the experiences found in humans.

Now switch universal Consciousness in all things...to energetic vibrational frequencies that flow thru everything... and you have exactly what I have been describing for two months.

Yes..it is all connected..yes we are experiencing.. and we are Consciousness and we do connect to all life and have the ability to connect to thru and change matter on a quantum scale ..so I am posting this as I feel 

Panpsychism is accurately describing what they call consciousness/energetic divine vibrational Frequency....( A rose by any other name will still smell as sweet ) and the importance of the connectivity of us to everything..and how powerful we actually are. Think of the Trinity..I AM CONCIOUSNESS @ SUN MOON EARTH @ BODY MIND SOUL - 3 seperate powerful identities,..however still part of the one whole GOD/Source/Divine....

Apply that to the idea of collected Conscious energetic vibrational energy that exists in all things..as we are seperate..we are also part of the whole.
